When you make a payment via ACH bank transfer with CashFlow Central, it receives a NACHA trace number, a unique identifier that allows you and your vendor to track the payment through your banks. Think of it as a transaction confirmation number.
What you need to know about trace numbers
- Up to 15 digits long.
- Available only after the payment has been delivered to the vendor's bank account.
- Can be shared with vendors as proof of payment.
- The vendor can use it to track the payment with their bank.
How to find your NACHA trace number
1- In the left sidebar menu, select the Pay icon to access your Pay dashboard, then select the Payments tab.
2- Find the completed payment you want to find the NACHA trace number for (it must show Paid status).
3- Select the payment to open the Payment and bill details window.
4- Scroll down to the Delivery method section. You'll find the trace number listed under the vendor's bank account details.
That's it! You've successfully found the trace number, which you can share with your vendor or use to check the payment status with your bank.
