How to connect your bank account instantly

Before making or receiving payments, you'll first need to link your bank account. Connecting your bank account instantly with Plaid takes only 1-2 minutes and is the fastest way to start using CashFlow Central. Plaid allows you to safely and securely connect your bank account using two-factor authentication (2FA) - all you need is your online banking credentials.

Connect your bank account

1- Access the bank account setup using one of these methods:

  • While making a payment: Create or open a bill or payment and add the vendor and the amount. When asked how to pay, select Bank account. Select the dropdown menu and select + Add account to add another bank account. This will open the Plaid popup.

  • From settings: Go to Settings in the left sidebar > Payment Methods > +Add a bank account or +Add another bank account.

2- The Plaid pop-up will open. CashFlow Central uses Plaid to safely and securely connect to more than 100 banks in the U.S. Enter your phone number and select Continue. Your phone number is needed for two-factor authentication.

3- Select Instant to log into your bank to link instantly, then select Continue.

4- Select your bank from the list. You can scroll down or use the search bar to search for your bank.

5- Select Continue to login to proceed.

If you don't see your bank listed, you'll need to manually connect your bank account and verify with a micro-deposit. This method takes about 1-2 days. Scroll all the way down and select Link with account numbers.

 

6- Fill in your bank login credentials. This includes your username and password. Select Sign in to continue.

7- To verify your identity, select Mobile to receive your code, then select Get code.

8- In Verification, enter the code you received and select Submit.

9- Check the box next to the bank account you want to connect to your CashFlow Central account.

10- (Optional) Scroll down to "Select additional information you want to share" and check the 2 boxes.

11- Select Continue.

12- Under Terms and Conditions, check the box to accept them and select Connect account information.

13- Select Save to save your bank account with Plaid, or finish without saving.

14- Your bank account is now connected. Select Done to return to the dashboard or payment.

Is your account synced with an accounting software? If your CashFlow Central account is synced with accounting software, you'll be asked to select the matching account in your accounting software. Select it and select Link accounts to continue.

That's it! Your bank account is successfully connected to your CashFlow Central account. You can now make and receive payments using this bank account.
