How to manage service charges in your invoice catalog

Managing your service charge catalog in Get Paid makes it easy to apply consistent fees across all your invoices. You can add new service charges, edit existing ones, or remove charges you no longer use. This guide covers:

Adding service charges to your item catalog

Setting up service charges in your catalog means you can quickly apply them to any invoice without re-entering the details each time.

1- In the left sidebar menu, select the Settings icon.

2- Under Get Paid, select Invoice Items.

3- In the Invoice items section, select the Service charges tab.

4- Select the Add service charge button.

5- In the popup window, enter the service charge details:

  • Service charge name: Enter a descriptive name for the charge.
  • Service charge type: Choose between Percentage or Fixed amount.
  • Value: Enter the percentage or dollar amount.

6- When done, select Add.

That's it! Your new service charge will now appear in the list and can be used when creating new invoices.

Editing service charges in your item catalog

Need to update a service charge? You can easily modify the name, type, or amount of any existing service charge.

1- In the left sidebar menu, select the Settings icon.

2- Under Get Paid, select Invoice Items.

3- In the Invoice items section, select the Service charges tab.

4- Locate the service charge you want to edit in the list.

5- Select the 3 dots next to the listed service charge.

6- From the action menu, select Edit.

7- In the popup window you can edit the service charge name, type, and amount.

8- Select Save when done.

That's it! Your service charge is updated and the changes will apply to all future invoices where you use this charge.

Deleting service charges from your item catalog

If you no longer need a service charge, you can remove it from your catalog.

1- In the left sidebar menu, select the Settings icon.

2- Under Get Paid, select Invoice Items.

3- In the Invoice items section, select the Service charges tab.

4- Locate the service charge you want to delete in the list.

5- Select the 3 dots next to the listed service charge.

6- From the action menu, select Delete.

7- In the popup window, select Delete to confirm deletion, or select Cancel to keep the service charge.

That's it! Your service charge has been removed from your catalog and will no longer appear as an option when creating invoices.
